Rich Gannon was the backbone of the Raiders in their early days. After over 30 games he retired, due to some heavy injuries he has suffered in the field. Here's what Rich said in the press conference about his comeback:
"I retired back then because I felt that I couldn't play at the highest level anymore, because of my injuries. The competition at the top level is very hard, and team like Raiders can't afford to have players on the field, who can't give 100% of themselves. And my injuries took me below that 100%.
But now I've had time to heal myself, and thanks to our marvelous physical conditioning staff, I'm able to step on the field again. I need some games to get to rhytm again, and it might take longer than anyone might expect. But I will come back, I promise that to you all now.
Kerry [Collins] is the primary quarterback of this team now, and I'm not going to take that away from him. But it's good to have some depth in the team. As we all know, even the best players might get hurt, or even killed. That is the price of playing Blood Bowl."
Time will tell what happens with Rich and Kerry.
