As a natural leader he decided to lead his team as a thrower so that he'll be able to direct the play through the backyard. For security reasons the complete stuff is protected by the U.S.S. Luckily he accepted Beverly Crushers idea. Otherwise he would no longer live. Well, on a last turn double POW stunt he was killed in action and left his crew headless. (And playerless, but thats another story)
