After leaving the racing circuit, John Bowe was at a loss about what to do for the future. When playing football with his son in their yard, John happened to see the Tasmanian Rangers practicing their skills in the nearby stadium. John immediately tried out for the team, and after throwing a ball so hard that it nearly Ko'ed his son, the coach let him on immediately.
