The Duke of Wellington is arguably the greatest General the British Isles has produced, with an unbeaten record and having beaten Napoleon himself, it is fair to have him as a Mummy :D

It must be also noted that he went on to be the Prime Minister

OK here is my thoughts on this whole fiasco with Wellington - The Mummy That Was Dead Twice.

In my game versus Wotfudboy's CD's, my connection went down, it went down moments before Wotfudboy killed Wellington (no regen of course!! observed by Wotfudboy and PandaPower) We tried reloading several times an in the end the whole game was cocked up but we played it out.

In that same game I left Wellington on the sidelines all game to keep him out of play so as not to get an unfair advantage.

It honestly never occured to me to retire the Mummy AFTER the game, to solve the problem. If someone would have pointed this out to me after the game or at any time, I would actually thought it a good idea.

I would like to point out that after I forced PeteW to retire his PBI Chaos Dwarves with this team, I dumped half the cash as suggested in the Forum thread by Pete. Despite people saying I did not have to do this, I did it because I am bothered about perception, and it upsets me to think that anyone would think of me as a cheat. I dumped the cash to show my charactor and I have now dumped Wellington to show again that I will do what is in the best interests of the group.

In the game v PanadaPower I then left him prone all game and did not do anything with him to allow Panda to claim his 2SPP scalp on Wotfud's behalf. A frictitious debate occured between Panda and myself.

At the end of the game I retired Wellington due to the bouncing off ideas that occured in Panda v Me. In thi sgam I again left Wellington in prone areas even on the sielines to enourage the slaying of him.

What I would like to say is that the implication that there were a few coaches that were of this opinion was very distressing, and if that is the case and there were suspicions I would rather have had coaches approach me or post or pm and raise the issue for debate etc.

I am as aware as anyone would be that the eletronic media are very difficult to communicate across as we lose all sense of behaviour, expression, tone an charactor, and therefore we do have to be a little more distrusting than normal, due to us not having access to these important keystones in the human ability to sense deception.

If the group feels that I have or am likely to play in bad faith then I would rather that they "ask" the Commish (as a neutral) to send me a PM stating so, and I will leave voluntarily with no fuss.

I have played nearly 900 games now on FUMBBL and apart from being stupid with my friend Cribbleobblepie and us both getting banned for 4 weeks, I have tried to be friendly and helpful, and play the clown too.

I have played games against better players knowing I will get beaten by their murderous Khemri(curses on spubbbba), taken vamps in WIL (curses on spubbbba), dumped cash as a gesture (curses on PeteW for suggesting it!). If anyone has issue with me please say so!!


BTW.... I have no issue with PandaPower after this and we have spoken about this, I have no grudges and I even encouraged him to last turn foul me too :D

Wotfudboy, if you have an issue at all then please speak to me, I apologised in the game for the d/c and I can understand why it would look suspicious due to timing, but believe me if I was interested in saving players I would have saved better players than Wellington before.

OK some of you may think I am over reacting and sorry if that is the case but this I the only way I have to diffuse my shock at the perception(s) that I was possibly playing an unfair gamestyle.
