<b>*2008-08-27</b> - Zamji retires after a successful career. Sure he could have kept playing for sometime more but both he and the team management decided that it was time to get some new blood for the team. Zamji became a star and retired as a star. This is unusual indeed.
He had great potential. <i>Aethis Poe</i> potential even. When he had the supporting cast around him he really did shine. But as the players dwindled so did his output... and finally not even his exceptional athletic talents couldn't keep him from the inevitable.
The Harlequins enters into a period of rebuilding and reorganization with an emphasis on fouling and bashing. Cybrosons lack of proper armor is seen as one of the keys to why he was let go.
Zamji made the following statement following his last game: "I understand that the team needs new fresh players. I was the best player on the team for sure... but having me on a team made up of mostly rookies was an unhealthy proposition for both me and my teammates. I didn't want to be the reason why the kids got turned into red smears and that's why I've decided to hang up my boots. Good luck Quins, I will be keeping an eye on you!"
