Gilford used to be a noble, but his house started crumbling since he was born. A number of scandals and poor monetary decisions (It turns out researching anti-gopher technology is not a good investment) later Gilford had only the memory of money to keep him happy. Still, Gilford played it off as if everything was fine and his family was still rich. But the worst was yet to come, when on a routine doctor visit Gilford learned that not only was he undead, he had been undead his whole life.

Shocked, he went to a series of parties where he met Richard and brought him into the fold. Now he plays to try and regain his lost wealth.
