Vincent Therion had always been a fan of the icon singer, Michael Jackson. He had tried to become a singer, but he just didn't have the voice. He also didn't have any money for plastic surgery. Without an education, Vincent had to turn to the only job that a human can do without going to school: be a Blood Bowl lineman. After trying out for several teams, Vincent was about to give up. No one wanted the mediocre player, until he tried out for the Amazing Mediocres. With just one roster spot remaining, Vincent was signed. Instead of his real name, he tried to sign up as "Michael Jackson" before realizing the man had just passed away. As a tribute to him without being an imitator, he signed up under the name "Mike Jay".
