Once, Garland was the pride of the Cornernian Royal Army. He quickly rose in rank until he became the kingdom's most decorated general in recent memory. But that was not enough for Garland. He yearned to conquest other lands and demanded that King Steve sanction acts of aggression against Cornernia's neighbors in order to expand their territory. But when the King would not allow it, Garland renounced his military title and Cornernian citizenship rather than serve. Little has been heard of Garland in the years since he left Cornernia. Recently, rumors have surfaced that a shadowy recluse has taken up residence in the ruins of the Temple of Fiends just north of Cornernia. Maniacal laughter and hellish screams can be heard echoing through its unholy halls at all hours of the night. Could this be Garland's revenge? Even though he is a renowned tactician, only a fool would unleash the power of the Fiends. Will Garland's ambitions for conquest lead to global domination or destruction?
