Did you know? Up until now, 1508058 players have died on the pitch.
Retired after scoring his only non-MVP SPP in the form of a game tieing touchdown at the end of the first half in a game vs loody loody Death in an excellent team move. He was closest to the goalline with the team's ball carrier pushed out of scoring range. Some team blocking and blitzing ensured the ball carrier could dodge into open space, handoff to Ugg and for Ugg to run into the endzone with a GFI. It was no fluke, it was inspirational positioning by the Orc Lineman!
Post game interviews revealed retirement had been close to Ugg's mind for a while. Although completely healthy, his role each week meant continually putting his body on the line in often the most dangerous situations. Ugg claimed that he was extremely lucky to have never had serious injury as testified by his record of all 20 games played by the franchise. He claimed that going out on a high like this was the best way to retire.
However, some darker rumours have been floated around concerning Ugg's retirement. Sources close to the team said that his salary demands compared to output was not looked upon favourably by the people in charge and he may have been forced out. At 90,000 gold pieces, Ugg was certainly higher paid than most Orc Linemen and this was the deal breaker, despite the team in desperate need of some tackling ability.
