Background
Tholdten is the heir of a the most important brewery and distiller family of all Ryder's Cove. Thanks to the large number of inns and taverns in the city, Tholdten family is a rich one too and his father made it even richer by opening up spirits trading oversea. Unfortunately, Tholdten has still to prove is talent in work and trading, he seems most interested in drinking beer and spirits than to produce and sell it. His nick-name, in fact, is a joke about the several times he went in a tavern to trying to sell a new spirits, only to find him reversed on the nearby alleys with just... well... half a barrel...
When the Ryder's Surfer expedition was set up, Tholdten's father had no doubt in forcing him to partecipate, with the secret hope of seeing him grow up.
