Halen was in the crowd when the Chain Breakers played their first game. As a lonesome wanderer who had ever only been met with hostility in Naggaroth, he was immediately intrigued by their noble cause and chaotic charm. He became a fan and didn't miss a single game afterwards. When he at the end of the season he witnessed the deaths of Yok Elfslayer and Squeaky, sudden inspiration made him offer his services to the team right after that match. Being a amateur warlock, his hopes are to influence future games in a subtle way.

However, being used to it, he couldn't restrain himself from using his magical abilities in day-to-day life. When his teammates found out about it, he was immediately given the surname "the Wizard", making it almost impossible for opponents and referees not to notice the threat he poses.
