*Hired Game 169*
Has the dubious task of being hired as the Bengal's 6th thrower in 22 games. With recruiters' scratching their heads over the strange fragility of their quarterbacks, the decision was made to hire some Norse robustness: perhaps Tyr will manage to pick up more than a single skill this time around...
Rambunctious Tyr has thus far risen to the challenge, continuing the franchise theme of dependable if un-extraordinary throwers. A decent all rounder who knows when to run and when to throw, his personality gelling particularly well with captain Dieter Macht's stoic bearing.
Tyr's already large physique was bulked up considerably by a new training plan, his north-man genes taking well to the demanding regime. His natural charisma and ability to inspire saw him scoop the team captain armband after the retirement of Herr Macht in game 202, though significant challenges await him being the sole veteran in a squad full of rookies. Will the Bengals ever reach their old heights of glory with Ulrikson at the helm?
Game 238 and the management are having serious discussion as to whether Tyr Ulrikson really is captain material. With the team's win record struggling things aren't looking good for the big Nord.
Game 261 and Tyr Ulrikson is most definitely back on form. With the team's record improving and Tyr himself pulling out some cracking performances he has proved he still deserves that captain's armband.
Became legend in game 293 vs Los enfermos and did so in style, scoring 2 touchdowns, inflicting a casualty and making an on-point pass that resulted in a resounding victory for the Bengals. The second ever legend for the coach, the second longest serving both with and without the captain's armband...though those last 2 accolades are something Tyr means to amend...
Sadly suffered a nasty blow to the spine from a tomb guardian in game 281 vs Dirty Sexy Khemri, the on-hand doctor unable to do anything for him. Subsequently suffered a further injury in the opening round of the WoC, a smashed ankle, that would prevent him from ever being able to competently match the running pace of even his slowest team mates. After long and lengthy board discussions, the decision was finally reached to reward the team's second ever legend and second longest serving player (after Max Schmerz) with an ancient and powerful healing poultice from ancient Nehekhara. Bed ridden for a week as the magics coursed through his body, he emerged - niggles gone and fit as he'd ever been. Tyr Ulrikson was back and ready to take a premiership title.
A lucky hit from a vampire thrall in game 309 smashed Tyr's ankle yet again, raising eyebrows about the effectiveness of this potion...
Played game number 200 vs grippe team and number 300 vs the infamous Slime Barons, making him the only player in Bengal history to have played in two centenaries.

Game 193: Coach MVP vs Erebor`s Legacy - with team mates falling all around him the big norse thrower had the presence of mind to keep his cool, ultimately making the right call and punting the ball into the undermanned dwarves backfield for the win. His ability to fend away attackers proved a highly valuable asset as time and again he frustrated the dwarf offence.
