Ecgar was one of the three skinks freed by Tzagor in their escape from the slave markets.

As a slave he was whipped and beaten for his failure to recognise his proper station in the eyes of his masters. He was traded multiple times during his captivity, each time receiving a new brand, creating a long record of ownership for all to see. Ecgar is forever scarred from his time as a slave.
