"Eek" is another one of what the Four Knights of Stompin Stuff" refer to as "knuckle fodder". He is not cowardly, just makes a high pitched bleating noise when he rams into things. His bleating annoys the rest of the team, so they often just stick him in the front line and hope somebody will knock him out.
The knight's plan worked. Eek omitted his annoying noise for the last time against the fierce bludgeoning of a mummy. He will be missed on the pitch, though not so much in the huddle.
