Comments: His first book, Wizard's First Rule, was excellent. The series as a whole, however, has definitely grown weaker over the years. Goodkind can create fascinating ideas and horrifying evil, but his characters can feel rather simple. He needs to leave the comfort of the Sword of Truth and write something else (I bet with his strengths, a horror novel would be right up his alley!)
