Dermot Mcnamara is an Albion singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. He is most famous for his 2486 love song "The Lady in Red", which reached number one in Albion, Bretonnia, the Empire and Estalia.

McNamara was born to Colonel Charles Chonaill, a diplomat, and Maeve Emily McNamara, a secretary. His maternal grandfather was Sir Eric McNamara, an Albion Army officer who had been Chief of the General Staff during the last incursion of Chaos. He took his mother's name, "McNamara", when he began performing. His father had substantial farming interests, and Dermot spent much of his early years in the Empire, as he, his mother and brother accompanied Colonel Chonaill on his diplomatic and engineering work.
