One of the few Crimson Tide players who hasn't lived his life amid the luxury of Fu Chow's golden buildings, Ziyi Liang is a veteran of the Emperor's army. The son of a noted general, Liang was commissioned as an officer due to his family's connections. He spent three years commanding a brigade of footmen in the northeast, fighting off the skaven and beastman hordes, and distinguished himself by demonstrating a sound strategic mind and fierce combat skills.

He was sent to Fu Chow University to study military history in preparation for greater things, and decided to join the Crimson Tide, in an attempt to figure out what lessons Blood Bowl could teach him about military tactics. He's discovered that Blood Bowl can teach him nothing about military tactics, but he's also found out that he's quite good at it, so he's remained on the team, gathering further glory and renown.
