There are those who claim that, if Variena Cao had not been the same age as the great Laumiel Maoshi, she would be universally acknowledged as the greatest quarterback in college Blood Bowl. It's hard to test the truth of that statement, but easy to acknowledge Cao's talent. While Cao isn't as effortless a technical Blood Bowl player as Maoshi is, she's plenty skilled, and she excels in the area which many consider Maoshi's one slight weakness: she can think on her feet. There's no one better than Maoshi for executing a plan, but when things go awry, Cao's creativity often allows her to conceive of and pull off the most unexpected plays -- an attribute that has earned her the nickname "Lucky Goat."
