Background

The Hearthfang clan is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and most egomaniacal families in Boldpeak. Which is really saying something.

The size of the family members' egos are matched only by that of their pockets, leading to a curious state of affairs where every member of the clan, upon their maturation, builds for themselves a mansion in the heart of Boldpeak, bulldozing either farms, smaller houses or, sometimes, even the mansions of their relatives to make space. Nialla, as the youngest of the family to reach adulthood, has the honour of having no less than seven sets of broken mansion foundations beneath her floors. Tragically, the Hearthfangs are too proud to visit each other's mansions, and too distrusting of others to hire servants, and so the extravagant homes lie lonely and unoccupied whenever their masters and mistresses are away.

After 2 games / her 2nd game

Nialla holds the prestigious record of scoring the game-winning touchdown in the Breakers' first victory, catching a pass in the endzone while being marked by two Iron Rock Warlords defenders. The Orcs were unable to cut out the pass, and Nialla's sure hands secured a 1-0 victory. It has been reported that she celebrated by taunting beggars with gold pieces on the ends of fishing lines, dangling the money before their faces and deflty flicking it away again as they reach for it. There are also unconfirmed reports that while she is away on matches, a pitchfork-bearing mob breaks into her empty home and steals from her ancestral vaults.

The records continued to tumble for Nialla, who became the first Breaker to score multiple touchdowns in a single game, reaching the endzone twice in a 2-1 victory over the rival High Elf team the Elvenholm Highborn. To celebrate, she commissioned a fifty-foot tall statue to be built of herself in Boldpeak, but as she is again away training with the team, she is unaware that the workers she hired are blowing their wages on dressing up and getting smashed on Friday nights instead.

After 5 games / her 5th game

In her final game against the Undead All Gone Dead team, Nialla broke yet another Breakers record, although one she would have preferred to avoid conquering herself. She was the first player to be killed on the field, and leaves the Breakers as their top scorer. Her peers were encouraged to vote for her as game MVP to honour her memory but, as High Elves tend to do, each player voted for themselves instead. Being the only player without a vote - as she had forfeited both her living and democratic rights - Nialla was given the award by her coach. She was, however, reanimated by her opponents, and will now hold the Line of Scrimmage for All Gone Dead, deprived of her sure hands and quick feet.

Those working on the statue of her, meanwhile, were moved by her devotion to her team, and courage on the field.

For about five minutes, after which point they lobbed the half-finished statue in the bin and began work on the mansion of Trixana Hearthfang, the younger sister of Nialla, who decided to build her personal palace over the ruins of her now-late sister's.
