Background
Kuriah is an unusual player for a High Elf team, being not of noble birth himself, but being an abandoned orphan baby, taken in by Waelana Darkstone, matriarch of the family, and raised as one of their own. While rumours have long persisted that Waelana only raised the child alongside her biological children to produce an in-house warrior-servant, with a fanatical loyalty to those he perceived as kin, and who could be sold or killed for even the slightest act of free will, she died two months after adopting the boy in a bizarre accident involving a goat, several cabbages, and a mysterious nomadic tradesman known only as The Big Dealer.
Kuriah remained in the Darkstone family, and became the youngest of five children to be reared in the family palace in the south of Boldpeak. When he came of age, he left the family estate, and signed up for the local Bloodbowl team, seeking a life of violence and glory, away from what he perceived to be a coddled, aristocratic life.
It is also worth noting that Kuriah has never said his surname aloud, due to an apparent severe phobia of both darkness and stones. He has been known to break down in tears at the mention of either item individually, and none has been brave, or cruel, enough to expose the young Elf to both ideas at once.

After 7 games / his 7th game
Kuriah met his end against the Goblin team Carlisle United, whose use of secret weapons threatened to be his undoing; it was runoured that the Goblins were planning to sneak sackfuls of rocks, painted black, to present to Kuriah to send him into a frenzy of fear. However, they didn't have the chance to put their plan into action, as he was killed in a rather more traditional manner: a Troll smacked him in the face.
