Background
The Newpass family is one of the oldest and most well-respected in Boldpeak, and all of Whitevale. Their name originates from Lucilia and Wenloe, the founders of their clan, who famously built a five hundred-mile tunnel through the Shatterpoint mountains to the south of Whitevale, connecting their home to Hightower, the largest of the Free Elven Cities. The passageway brought travelers, traders and migrating Elves of all races to Whitevale, and propelled the prosperity and financial might of the city to a point at which it rivals even that of Hightower. For generations, the Newpass clan have worked to preserve and build upon the charitable, honourable work of their forebears; Xiareth's grandfather, Torveth, funded free education for every Elven child in Boldpeak out of his own pocket, and her mother, Yiinarth, established a cleaning company which specialises in picking up those bits of garlic and cheese you drop down behind the oven when you're making a fry-up, offering her company's services for free to the poorer residents of Whitevale.
Sadly, and hilariously, Xiareth is one of the cruelest, most unforgiving individuals to crawl from Whitevale, and that includes the city's large Dark Elf population. Rumoured to have stolen from her family's businesses, robbed blacksmiths and tailors to acquire expensive but ill-fitting armour, and even ripped the tag off a mattress.

After 15 games / her 12th game
In a grudge match against the Wood Elf Wood Is Woody side, in which the Breakers were squished 4-0, Xiareth abandoned any pretense of sportsmanship, honour or even compliance with the rules, fouling a pair of Wood Elves, breaking one of their hands and earning herself an ejection. Most despicably, her behaviour spread to the rest of the team, with an additional two Breakers receiving bans for kicking prone Wood Elves as they scampered in their third and fourth touchdowns.
Xiareth, for her part, has said that the snooty fools had it coming. None of her team had the heart to tell her that such a statement was rich coming from someone whose bedroom is the size of a small village.

After 17 games / her 14th game
Xiareth fell in the Breakers' first match in the ELF league, against the Mutazione Underworld side, earning the dubious honour of being the first Breaker to be killed in a competitive fixture outside of their hometown. While she lay prone on the snowy turf, skin torn and bones broken, many fans cried for the team physios to attend her before she bled out. However, the usual team doctor had been unable to reach the stadium, their home being snowed under, and so their assistant, a young wizard named Aa'narth, took on their responsibilities, and was mysteriously absent when Xiareth first hit the deck. He re-appeared as soon as she was pronounced dead, just missing out on the opportunity to heal her. Reports that he is an illegitimate son of Bru'narth, owner of the Free Elven Cities' largest mattress distributors, whose business had been thrown into disrepute by Xiareth's callous tearing off of their tags, remain unconfirmed.
Her remains were given to her family who, fortunately, are decent folk, and gave their daughter a full burial and donated her fortune to a local orphanage, although it is unclear what a bunch of orphans intend to do with a small arsenal of instruments of torture and fake IDs.
