Background

As is the case with most Whitevale family names, Olinia's surname is comprised of two parts, 'cold' and 'stride'. These names refer to the original professions of the individuals who would go on to found these families; yet the Coldstride family are a rarity in that their clan still engages in the practices that first gave them their names. Olinia's father, as with all those on his side of the family, catches fish, specialising in bringing rare, northern fish from the frigid Ice Sea to the city; hence the name 'cold'. Her mother, meanwhile, is an accomplished cobbler, as are all on her side of the family, leading to the name 'stride'. With these names serving unusually practical purposes, Olinia longed for her name to have the meaningless symbolic significance of her peers; as a result, she abandoned both the fishing and cobbling trades, and took up Bloodbowl, where it is the size of one's fist, not the weight of one's name, that makes a difference.

After 13 games / her 12th game

Olinia soon developed an incredibly accurate kicking leg, her prowess with the boot aided by the ridiculously expensive Nark iD shoes she designed for herself. Yet she suffered an ironic foot injury that unbalanced her, worsening all future wounds, leaving her with a strong right foot, and a withered left peg. In the game against the Chaos side Try Chaos these injuries became too much for her, as a rock thrown from the crowd in the dying seconds of the Breakers' 2-1 defeat hit Olinia square in the jaw. Unable to dodge on her wounded leg, her skull snapped, and she was killed instantly. Her bespoke armour and shoes have since been donated to her family, who are currently bickering over whether to melt them down to make shoelaces, or fishing poles.
