Today I would like to review one of their more up to date varieties and that is a limited edition Banana Bread Loaf. I have had this a few times before, but it was on sale for $1.99 the other week so had to get it. It was not that convenient to make my own because using the oven makes the house too hot in the summer most of the time. So here I am buying prepackaged goods again. It is hard to get away from it.

Besides the cheaper price which I was delighted about to start with, the taste isn’t all that bad either. Of course I prefer my home made to it, even if I always get a complaint from one person about not having enough banana flavor in mine. Differences aside, I think for a pre-made loaf bread like this it is sweet and banana flavored enough for me. Sometimes loafs like this can be dry and if that is a problem you can always add some whipped cream or anything else you like such a butter. I prefer this loaf bread plain for the most part.

There is just enough there for several servings. I usually just cut off a slice that is 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch for myself at one sitting so it’s not that laden with calories. A little goes a long ways with me as a rule however. I would buy this flavor and item again if I had to. Mostly if it was on sale again as the price of these cakes can sometimes be somewhat crazy (as are the prices of many other types of food these days in my country). But if I’m going to pay over $5.00 for food I’d rather it be of anything more nutritional.
