No longer an Entenmanns Customer
By D. Kuzikon
I recently purchased Entenmanns Little Bites Blueberry muffins. 20 muffins, 5 pouches from Amazon Prime. My sons opened two pouches and consumed them. When the third pouch was opened, my son immediately spit it out, it tasted wrong. When my husband and I smelled the pouch, it had a strong glue/chemical smell and the muffins had a white glaze to them. I contacted Entenmanns on Saturday, the morning this took place, and left a message. They were closed on the weekends. I was contacted today, Monday, June 20, 2016, at 1pm. They told me while they sympathize with my situation there is nothing they can do, it's Amazons fault and they do not guarantee shipping and storage by Amazon. I then called Amazon and a wonderful service rep let me know I would receive a credit for the purchase. That the information would also be forwarded to their quality control team, which could not update me. My greatest concern is that they haven't addressed the toxic food, the cross contaminated food, and the hint that they must know it's possible if they have an, "it's not covered" stance about their product. What if a young child that couldn't speak consumed this product? I guess the Internet, the FDA and the news media are my best options at this point.
