After destroying COVERS and liberating the world from needless clothing, Ryuko Matoi was enlisted to be a member of the Champions. Having spent the better part of the year fighting, she was placed as a lineman where the team knew she'd be able to stand up to any force ballsy enough to block her.

After being voted MVP, Senketsu gained the power to transform into a kicking boot capable of placing the ball exactly where it needed to go. Her enemies were afraid of her new-found power and smashed her knee in an underhanded tactic to stop her. She survived and still kicks today but carries her war wound with her.
