Promotions are usually a good thing. However, Jean bemoans the day he was "promoted" to the team. Cooking food for the players had been his joy... now he only has bruises and injuries to look forward to. Life as a Bretonnian peasant is hard.

Retired - Jean was relieved to be let go after sustaining a serious head injury. Although it pains him daily with terrible headaches he has at least been able to return to cooking.
