Simone was a sergeant in the de Neuf fortress guard until two years ago, when he retired de to old age. He was then asked to lead drills of the militia. For two years he enjoyed barking orders at his fellow commoners. However, even that eventually grew tiresome. With his family all dead and nothing else to live for Simone applied for a spot in the Knightly Virtues mid-season. He was chosen over younger candidates due to his experience and, frankly, his nonchalance toward life.
