Biography:
When Katalina was just a child growing up in smalltown Sylvania, her parents Hrun and Valeria were kidnapped by men working for the local Lord. During their transit to the Lord's castle, Hrun managed to free Valeria, who rushed home to find her daughter. Just as she arrived home Valeria was trampled to death by the pursuing horsemen right before Katalina's eyes. Horrified, Katalina fled into the woods and was not seen again by the townsfolk.
She lived alone in the woods for many years, using the trees for safety and shelter, living off the land. When she finally encountered other humans it came in the form of a travelling circus who camped in her forest. As she spied on them, the colourful and acrobatic folk caught her imagination and she eventually revealed herself to them, telling them her story. She learned from them the true situation with the local Lord - they believed him to be a Vampire!
While hatred dwelled inside her at the loss of her mother, this new information worried Katalina more, as the fate of her father was no longer certain. She had always thought him dead but now fears a worse-than-death fate has befallen him. She is now driven to uncover the truth.
To assist in her quest, a wise old circus acrobat agreed to train her to give her some chance against any vampires she meets on her travels. Only time will tell if she stands a chance.
