Jan got his name from his renowned dexterity, able to whip out a dagger faster than any other mobster in the town of Grunfell. When the time came to disband the mob to form a Blood Bowl team, in order to save the dying town they were running, Jan was eager to put his skills to use and become the hometown hero he was always meant to be.

This was not to be, sadly, as in the third turn of the team's first game against the human Croyden Crushers, he was slain on the pitch when a linebacker's punch had thrown his head back, snapping his neck.
