Aufuga suffered a fractured leg in Game 7 of Season 34 against Bro-Hio State.
In his first game back (Season 34, Game 9), he decided to transfer to the University of Texas, El Paso (UTEP), after speaking on pitch with Rotter Cade "the Blade" Otton. Otton handed him a flyer, noting all the benefits of UTEP campus life and activities. In a post-game interview, he stated it was "an easy choice to make, getting play for Coach Razmus".
