Jasper recruited Henry not because of his character, but because of his vibe. Henry has been unremarkable when he was alive, and had developed a vibe that allowed him to blend in to any social situation. In Henry, Jasper saw the social glue that the Numb Brains needed. As the initial and sole Wight on the team, playing mirror to none other than Jasper himself, Henry was worried that he would not be good enough. "You'll be fine--adequate. You'll be adequate," Jasper replied, giving Henry his first nickname in both of his lives. A small part of him hopes he can leverage his unique position to become more than adequate, though the thought of the pressure that comes along with specialty scares him.
