The match had ended early, the puny Wood Elves and their fans fleeing in terror from the beserker rage of star saurus Blacndeca. Now most of the lizard team was enjoying an unexpected rest by the side of the pitch. A few of the skinks played some kind of game with a small pile of bones - all that remained of an elf catcher pushed into the crowd early on.
But one player remained on the pitch, seemingly unaware that the game was over, Blacndeca continued to thunder up and down, wildly lashing out at unseen opponents, careless of the blood oozing from one strapped up leg. On the sidelines, coach Unstoffe consulted the team apothecary,
'It's not good boss - forced me to patch him up he did, wouldn't sit the game out. It's lucky those woodies didn't know how to hit back... I tell you he's a liability'
Unstoffe shook his head sadly, 'I know, but he's still a great player, I mean just look at this result! And besides, do you want to be the one to 'retire' him?'
Suddenly there was a great snapping noise, and all eyes turned to the pitch. There, Blacndeca seemed poised in the middle of a frenzied lunge, but clearly his injured leg had given up. The mighty body flew through a freakish pirouette, before landing with a resounding thud. The saurus lay very still, its head twisted at an unnatural angle...
Only one thing could be done. Blacndeca was carried shoulder high to the temple summit, and there his body was consumed by fire as an offering to the gods. And we will remember him!
