He is the firstborn of Alberich Haupt-Anderssen, Grand Count of Stirland, Prince of Wurtbad and Overlord of Sylvania, is the Elector Count of the Grand Province of Stirland.
His father named him in honor of Count Martin who defeated Mannfred von Carstein liberating the region from vampires and annexing Sylvania to his lands. Like his father he is an excellent and strong warrior, captain of the Blood Bowl College team and the best student of his year: there was little controversy in allowing him to transfer from St Martin to Drakenhoff.
Dark rumours persist over the influence of Von Carstein over Haupt-Anderssen, with some suggesting he is now a literal puppet.
