In a recruitment drive to find spirits to serve as punching bags on the line of scrimmage Arcanius found himself in the town of Blutdorf in Stirland, the original hometown of the Bleakwood Haunters before they were turned into ghosts, when they were still known as the Blutdorf Badgers. Behind the now overgrown Badgers stadium, right nest to the latrines, he found the "Field of Eternal Glory for the Heroes of Blood Bowl", also known as the "Lineman Pit", where the team would dump the bodies of dead linemen. Most spirits had moved on or dissipated, but after a lengthy ritual Arcanius managed to raise three apparitions from the pit, the former Badgers linemen Wunibald Weinreich, Hademar Latzke and Ottfried Proch. The poor spirits squirmed and tried to escape the necromantic bonds, but Arcanius held up a copy of their Player Contract and tapped his skeletal finger on the fine print. Service to the team continued until they were fired or until they turn in a notice of resignation, and since none of that has happened (and now they have no corporeal hands with which to sign any notice) they are still bound in service to their old, now renamed, team. Tough luck Wunibald, Hademar and Ottfried, now get back on the line of scrimmage!
