Bubblegum is the product of Dr Stikkemtagetta. He was an early experiment in organ replacement. When the good Dr went before the board for funding on replacing damaged lungs with good ones, they laughed at him and handed him a $5 bill. The doctor, having no understanding of sarcasm, took the money happily and attempted to see what he could make with it, and came up with the worlds first bubblegum lung. The lung lasted almost a whole ten minutes before it overexpanded and popped inside the patient. But ithe gum does stay juicy and keeps being pressed together where, after a short break, the subject could get up again and begin breathing.
