Bootlick's job is basically to kiss'y up to the coach. That's all - he is a royal suck-up and was employed by the coach solely to do that. He is despised by his team mates because of his fawning behaviour and because he stinks (even in comparison to the hygiene standards of the rest of the team). His stench is worsening as he avoids the teams showers - not surprising after a partcularly nasty and painful encounter with Porganz when Bootlick was bending over to retrieve some soap.
