He was one of the many hobgoblin slaves forced to work for the team after the battle. He was put on the roster for need of numbers after the first game. He is somewhat afraid of Blood Bowl, where most of the battles are one on one instead of having a large group with you to fight together. He would rather pay his pennance washing the team's laundry than by putting himself on the front line.
He was finally rewarded for his services when he got the MVP in his third game. But he still feels very nervous about the game, despite having played a few.
His fear was finally realized... He had his skull fractured by a Storm Vermin in his fourth game, the team's fifth. The soft spot on his head decreased his Armor Value as his hard head had helped break his falls many times before. He would also have to miss the next game. His future was uncertain. Coach Oblitzamanger was unsure whether he should be retired yet or not. But something would be done soon.
And something was done soon. After sitting in the dugout in the team's next match, Oblitzamanger was convinced that Polyditta should be retired honorably. Not only would the retirement help out with the team's TR and TS, but he was also a liability as he could be easily injured and leave the team with 10 players. The team was in no lack of players with a newly purchased Minotaur, thus it was safe for Polyditta to leave.
He did not become an assistant coach for he was not experienced enough and wanted to leave the world of Blood Bowl and battles. But rather, he went back to his old position as the team's laundry washer. He still has contact with the team, but the pressure of playing Blood Bowl is no longer on him. The team gives him regular thanks for the clean, nice smelling clothes, and the players are relatively nice to him since he is a veteran of the team and as shared his dues of pain (even the Chaos Dwarves!). But he will forever be scarred from his experience as that injury to his cranium has made his lightbulb a little bit dimmer...
