Discworlds first bogeyman, he was the darkness in the caves. But then the world changed, and the Tooth Fairy (who wasn't called the Tooth Fairy at that time) realised that scaring children wasn't what he wanted to do, and decided to watch over them instead. He gave them money for thier teeth so that people couldn't get ahold of them, becauseif you have somebody's tooth, you have power over them. He then hired people to help him in his task who are generaly refered to as tooth faries, but really are just women who are payed to do a job.
