In life, Reg Shoe was a revolutionist. At least he was in his eyes. In the eyes of other people, he was just an enthusiastic man with unrealistic ideals. He wanted Truth, Justice and Freedom for "The People", but they just wanted Reasonably Priced Love and a Hard Boiled Egg. Reg Shoe died in a valiant charge, but that didn't stop him fighting the enemy. He later decided he was dead, collapsed, and was buried, only to decide later that death wasn't working for him. After leaving his grave he started the Fresh Start Club, for the vitaly challenged. He made it his new goal to fight for Dead Rights. When this fell apart (like Reg does on occasion) he was recruited into the Ankh Morpork Watch, and has found that being a copper suits him like a well fitting glove (assuming he has all his fingers attached at the time)
