"You got the right one, baby!" crooned Charles in the famous Diet Pepsi ad. He overcame his blindness, turned music on its head, and was called the "only true genius in this business" by Frank Sinatra. His notable singles were Mess Around, Hit the Road Jack, America the Beautiful, What'd I Say, and I Got Woman. His most memorable hit, however, was "Georgia on My Mind". The official state song of Georgia since 1979, Charles performed it at the Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. After he died in 2004 due to liver disease and quickly turned his ears to the sound and fury of Blood Bowl. Besides being used in the game, Charles often fills in as the haltime performer.
