(Spike's crypt. Buffy walks in, dressed as Buffybot. Spike looks terrible, his face swollen and purple.)

BUFFY: (as BuffyBot) Spike! You're covered in sexy wounds!

SPIKE: Yeah. They feel real sexy. Where ya been?

BUFFY: (as BuffyBot) I fell down & got confused. Willow fixed me. She's gay!

SPIKE: Will fixed you? I'd a thought they'd melt you into scrap.

BUFFY: (as BuffyBot) They were confused too. Do you wanna ravish me now?

SPIKE: Give us a minute. Got some bones need mending.

BUFFY: (as BuffyBot) Why did you let that Glory hurt you?

SPIKE: She wanted to know who the key was.

BUFFY: (as BuffyBot) Well I can tell her and then you won't...

SPIKE: No! (cough) you can't ever! Glory never finds out.

BUFFY: (as BuffyBot) Why?

SPIKE: Because Buffy... the other, not so pleasant Buffy... anything happened to Dawn, it'd destroy her. I couldn't live her being in that much pain. I'd let Glory kill me first. Nearly bloody did.

(Buffy kisses him gently on the lips. Spike realizes who she really is.)

SPIKE: And my robot?

BUFFY: The robot is gone. The robot was gross and obscene.

SPIKE: It wasn't supposed...

BUFFY: (interrupts) Don't! That thing... it wasn't even real. (long pause) What you did, for me & Dawn... that was real. I won't forget it.

(she exits)
