Known as "America's Winningest Driver," Dick Trickle began racing on the short-track circuit in 1958. Trickle has been credited with over 1,200 vicories in auto racing. Also, he gained the most notoriety by being named the Winston Cup (now the Nextel Cup) Rookie of the Year in 1989 at the ripe old age of 48. He was a favorite of ESPN's Sportscenter announcers Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann.
