Skalf comes from a proud family of miners. Skalf however is a very poor prospector and so earned his nickname "skrati" (which means poor prospector in the dwarfish toungue, look it up). So unable to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors, Skalf left home and eventually took up playing Blood Bowl.
