Now we know what happened to Corto Maltese after he disappeared in Spanish civil war. He was foughting as voluntary in international brigade and his brigade suffered great losses defending Barcelona from fascist attacks. Bomb hit post office which he was defending and he passed out. He woke as goblin and sailed the seven seas. After mutiny in his ship (goblins do that very often) and he left abondoned in small boat in the middle of nowhere, he decided to play BB for a while and gather money for new ship. Wonder where his friend Rasputin is?
