The original minotaur was born from the union between a magical white bull and a queen of Crete. Those ancient Greeks have weird stories. The minotaur had the head of a bull, the body of a man and was kept in a specially constructed labyrinth by Minos the king of Crete and was sent hapless victims and Theseus for the occasional meal. Theseus proved to be too hard to eat and slew the minotaur instead. In most fantasy RPGs minotaurs are an entire race of bull-headed creatures who are known for being particularly stubborn and hard to please.
