Auric Goldfinger played by Gert Fröbe is the main Villain of Goldfinger. Whilst relaxing at an expensive Miami Beach hotel, Felix Leiter tells Bond about Auric Goldfinger.
After meeting with Jill Masterson, Bond forces Goldfinger to lose $15,000 dollars when he discovers his little cheating card game.
Later at a posh country club Goldfinger and Bond play golf, where once again Goldfinger tries to cheat but is once again foiled by Bond. Goldfinger tries to persuade Bond to stay out of his affairs by telling his henchman, Oddjob, to provide a demonstration. Oddjob then proceeds to throw his Metal Rimmed Hat at a stone statue cutting off it's head.
Bond follows Goldfinger to his factory later in the film in Switzerland. After scouting the factory at night, Bond hears Goldfinger mention ‘Operation Grandslam’, two words that save Bond's life later. After discovering Tilly Masterson, Bond and Tilly evade Goldfinger's men in Bond's Aston Martin DB5. After putting a number of cars out of the picture Bond runs out of road and is trapped by Oddjob and Goldfinger's henchmen. After Oddjob kills Tilly, Bond is escorted back to Goldfinger's factory. After a car chase, Bond is captured by Goldfinger and strapped to a table made of gold with a laser pointing down at him. Bond's life is spared during this famous scene, after he convinces Goldfinger he knows about Operation Grandslam.
After Switzerland, Bond travels to Goldfinger's stud farm in Baltimore aboard Goldfinger's private plane piloted by Pussy Galore. Goldfinger briefs a number of American gangsters and organised crime members about Operation Grandslam, a scheme they help fund. Goldfinger then proceeds to Fort Knox where he plans to detonate a ‘dirty’ nuclear device inside its vaults, contaminating America's gold supply for 58 years.
Goldfinger escapes Fort Knox after Felix Leiter brings in the army to stop Goldfinger, after Pussy changes the gas canisters. Goldfinger confronts Bond when Bond is on his way to White House to meet the President. After a brief fight, Goldfinger's gun is fired depressurising the aircraft cabin, causing Goldfinger to be sucked out the window to his death.
