Fan favourite Fortitude Jones has been playing Blood Bowl since the age of five, but, due to a twenty-four year coma, didn't turn pro until 31.
An amiable player, who has taken his rising star status with humility, he always has a moment to sign autographs and spends much of his spare time involved in community projects in his home town of Bannister.
Proving a steady, reliable Blitzer from the outset, Jones unleashed his merciless side to great effect against the Loonatiks, and was intrumental in the victory.
Expect more of the same from the East-South-East Bannister Five's "Player of the Decade", at 34 years of age he shows no sign of letting up.
SHAKEY HORIZONS
The game could be up for Jones, who, after receiving a niggling injury in a rather nasty game against the Dark Elf team "Barneleg", may be forced to retire in his prime. As the whole team struggles to repair itself after a spate of unfortunate loses, Fortitude's place remains safe. He is more than aware, however, that his days are numbered;
"I just haven't got that old confidence anymore, as soon as we get out of this bad spot I think I'll be benched in favour of a new blitzer. It's a young man's game..."
