Those who know him refer to Nurmal Edvaards as the "Workhorse", climbing up through the regional leagues to finally be picked as a starting Catcher for the Fourth Wall, he's had to fight every step of the way.
After the death of lead Catcher Marcel C. Spone, Nurmal has become the focus of attention for the fans, Throwers and opposition players alike. A position he feels he was born to play.
Some pundits, however, have noted that he has yet to make the role his own, with no pass completions or touchdowns to his name.
"Sometimes I feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders," says Edvaards candidly, "but I know that the Lord only gives us as much as we can handle."
Here's hoping the next weight Edvaards feels is a Blood Bowl ball, and that he feels it in his hands and not his shoulders...
Due to broken ribs, the next game will be Nurmal's first on the bench. He has played in all of the "Wall's" twenty-nine matches, making him the longest-running player the team has ever had.
