"Lucky" is a debatable epithet.
In the far-flung corners of nowhere, a certain young Gobsmacker rescued an injured elf from a band of goblins. As it happens, that injured elf was a scout (of the blood-bowl kind) and so Gobsmacker got his chance. His fellow players almost immdeiately dubbed him "lucky."
Perhaps jealous that Gobsmacker didn't have to prove himself the "hard way" as all the others had, the veterans gave Gobsmacker all the hardest jobs. He was almost immediately thrown onto the front line - where he proceeded to dazzle all with his surprising ball-handling skills. A completed pass and the most valuable man of the match and he was a pivotal part of the team.
Again voted the most valuable player against the best of Chaos, Lucky continued to be given the hard tasks. Constantly facing Ogres, Chaos Warriors and anything else the rest of the team chose to avoid, it was a surprise to everyone that he survived - though not unscathed. Missing two games for injuries whih included a broken jaw, Gobsmacker nevertheless always gave his best.
Even when it looked impossible against the surprisingly brutal tactics of the humans he never gave up. It was he that in the dieing moments of the game, sprinted across the length of the field, pushing it as far as he could, to smash the captain, Pepsi, to the ground and recover the ball. In truth, he lost the ball to the crowd, but he will always be remembered for that tackle. Pepsi would never play again - unless it was for an undead team.
