Was in his last years as a professor when he taught. Smoked during ALL the classes during the ENTIRE class. The was no regulation for smoking in classes until a couple of years ago. Classes become unbearable to him after the new smoke regulations.

Spent most of his classes talking about funny stories about mathematics.

FV:"And this is the definition of the Taylor Series."

Student:"And what are they good for?"

FV:"What do you mean by that?"

Student."What can we do with them? Why are we learning Taylor Series?"

FV:"Because they are TAYLOR SERIES!"

Student:"Ok... but I must ask again: what can we do with them?"

FV:"Buh... uh... ah... well... they ARE Taylor series..."
